Mr. Da-Opukuro Da-Wariboko

Mr. Da-Opukuro Obelema Da-Wariboko is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered

Accountants of Nigerian (ICAN), of which he has twenty-four years post

qualification experience. He started his working career with Akintola Williams-

Touche Ross, Port Harcourt office, on March 01,1990 wherein he worked for a

period of Forty-Eight Months.

His work experience covered Auditing, Accounting and Taxation. The firm

Akintola Williams-Touche Ross later became Akintola Williams Diolette as a

consequence of an International merger. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in

1997 through passing the professional examinations of ICAN.

His work experiences include Industry, Management Consultancy and Banking

before joining the employ of the Revers State Treasury Department on May 02,

2007. While working with Forikuma & Associates (a Management Consulting

Firm) rendering services in Rivers State and to two other States in the Country, he

was involved in the drafting of the Resource Control Paper of the State which

became the standpoint of the Oil Revenue Generating States of the Federation

agitating for the implementation of S. 162(1) of the constitution in the year 2000.

In 2009, he was tasked as the Technical Support to the Tax Harmonization

Committee established by the State Government to harmonize tax assessment and

collection functions within the State so as to avoid multiple taxation of Business

Entities.

In July 2010, he was assigned the duties of a Director of Finance & Accounts in

RSUST New Campus Development Project office and has functioned in various

Capacities as such till date.


He is also a member of The Chartered Institute of Taxation, Nigeria since the year

2000; and a Fellow of The Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria since

2019.

His hobbies are reading of novels and playing Chess (Club Players Strength).
