Ahoada East LGA

Ahoada-East Local Government Area is situated in the South East Senatorial Zone in Nigeria. It was created in 1996. There are 16 Health Facilities, one General Hospital and nine Private Clinics. It comprises of 13 geopolitical wards. The Headquarters of the LGA is at Ahoada Town and is bounded by the following LGAs:

  • Abua/Odual LGA on the South
  • Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA on the North
  • Emohua LGA on the East
  • Ahoada West LGA on the West.

The populaces of Ahoada East LGA (both indigenes and non-indigenes) are mostly Christians although Muslims and traditionalist are scattered round the LGA. The main occupation in the LGA is Farming and Small and Medium Scale enterprises.
Majority source of water supply is from public and private borehole facilities, some persons still get water from the streams while others use rain water.
