Abua Odual LGA

Abua/Odual (ABOLGA) LGA is one of the mixed upland and riverine LGAs in Rivers State created on 1st October, 2013, and has 2015 estimated population of 382,343. It has thirteen (13) political wards and it headquarter in Ayama. It has boundary with Ahoada West LGA and Ahoada East LGA on the North, Akuku-Tori LGA, Degema LGA and Bayelsa State on the South, Emohua on the East and Bayelsa State on the west. They are from the ekpenye tribe in Ahoada. It has 45 settlements and 25 PHCs, 2 general hospitals (only one is functional). The people are predominantly farmers and fishers men.

The Abua/Odual Local Government Primary Health Care Authority, since inauguration has continued to provide leadership and to deliver quality health care service to the people in Abua/Odual LGA using available resource.
