Who we are
We are the agency of government mandated to plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate primary health care services and programmes in the State. Primary care is publicly delivered through primary health care services. We provide promotive, preventive, curative, pre-referral, and referral services to higher levels of care.
Quality, accessible and affordable services are provided at our facilities, through the work of dedicated and professional staff, sometimes with support from partners such as Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), Marie Stopes, The Challenge Initiative (TCI), UNICEF, World Health Organization, and Association of Reproductive and Family Health (ARFH)
